The things I can do when in LOVE

OK, I have a confession to make. I'm in love. Not surprising right? I'll explain:

Yesterday I was somewhat productive. I managed to make Ben lunch, feed and play with Hailey all day, make dinner, clean a bathroom, clean the kitchen, sweep the floors, clean all the mirrors and glass surfaces, dust our furniture, shower, brush my teeth AND read an entire 498 page novle...plus the first chapter teaser from the next book in the series. Impressive I might say.

So when Ben came home last night he commented on all that I'd done and this was our conversation:

Me: Us women can do amazing things when we're in love
Ben: uhh...thanks?
Me: Not you silly; Edward Cullen
Ben: Who?
Me: The Vampire from this book I'm reading
Ben: A Vampire?? I don't get it
Me: Of course you wouldn't, your human

So there you have it. I finally broke down and read the first book in the series - Twilight. And now I'm completely obsessed. I NEED more!! And just so you know, here's a sample of our conversation last night before bed:

Me: Ben, I wish you were a Vampire
Ben: Oh jeez, not again
Me: No, seriously; is there anything more romantic then desperately wanting to drink someones blood and then fighting every urge to do so because you love them so much??
Ben: I don't even know what to say to that...
Me: Don't say anything, you just can't understand...you're too human.

And that's it, a glimpse into our lives. Fascinating. I think I'm going to go and google Twilight right now and see what kind of things I can obsess over now. Wish me luck.

That is so funny. Those books are awesome. I can't wait until the 4th one comes out this fall. I think I might read all 3 again before I read the 4th because I have forgotten some things. I love Edward!!!

Oh my gosh!! This was hilarious to read cuz my sister in law that we are living with is also OBSESSED with this book! Her and another friend up here talk about it non-stop and she has been trying to get me to read it. She's been very persistant but we'll see. Anyways she just started the second book 2 days ago and shes half done it now...nerd, jks haha. Maybe I might have to read a couple chapters to see if its what you all make it up to be! But this was too funny to read...and your hilarious! You sound just like her too they way you talk about "him" She even said the other day her husband has the same color eyes as him! haha you book nerds!

Oh I SO know what you mean. Edward Cullen. Has there ever been a more romantic and sexy fictional character?? I think not. I won't even tell you how many times I have read each book. It would be too embarassing. I even have dreams about him. I wish my blood would sing for my husband :) hahaha

I'm extremely obsessed too. I want to have a twilight party and talk about the books. One before the 4th book comes out and one after, or maybe more because I think about it all the time and need to talk about it with other people. :) I'll be sure to invite you when I put it together.

OK firstly that posting made me laugh! That is soooo funny. OK so I guess I'll have to look into getting that book. I'll keep you posted, nothing like a good book to obsess about. Your poor husband, he's probably like "what the heck!"

I laughed and laughed. You are so cute. Loved the real conversation you had with Ben. Apparently there is something really wrong with me cause I'm just not hooked as the rest of the world is? I was told to read it and I'd been hooked. I've got up to the Baseball game in book one and honestly, it's been sitting for over 8 months now. (My excuse is having a baby but apparently reading it could increase my productivity!!! ha ha.)

That was hilarious Meagan! But how could you get that much stuff done when the book was just waiting to be picked up??!!!

JEWEL! You have to read past the baseball game, that's the scariest part of the whole series, I even had to put it down and read my scriptures I was so scared!!! But you DO need to finish Jewel. REally.

I'm behind on my blogging! but I loved this post - I actually made my husband read the books so I wouldn't feel like I was wish-cheating on him :) And then he got addicted, and is looking forward to the 4th book as much as I am :) Yes, yes. I make my husband read adolescent romance novels. :D
